Meet the 2017-2018 SGA
Last week the next Student Government team was elected. We talked to each of the election winners about their vision for next year and more importantly, what brought them to ENC. Scroll down and learn about what brought the 2017-2018 SGA team to want to work for you!

Student Body President – Kyera Bryant
Hometown: Guilford, Connecticut
Fun Fact: I sleep with a pillow pet every night (dragon named Wendell).
What do you hope to accomplish during your time in office? I hope to inspire passion, as well as, unveil student-leaders within the ENC community by cultivating a more diverse group of individuals involved and dedicated to the ENC vision.
What made you want to run for SGA? I ran for SGA because I wish to be a servant to the student body by collaborating with the administration, listening to concerns and needs of the community, and being an advocate for the voices that otherwise, may not be heard.
Vice-President and Director of Finance – Kirsten North
Hometown: Lancaster, PA
Major: Elementary Education
Fun Fact: I have a birthmark in my eye – my eyes are blue with a brown streak!
What do you hope to accomplish during your time in office? I hope to bring more awareness about what the Vice President does on SGA and how our budget functions. In turn, I hope this will also create more accountability between SGA and the student body and generate more student interest and involvement.
What made you want to run for SGA? I wanted to run for SGA because I saw how effective SGA can be through serving on the Vice Presidential Advisory Council, and this made me eager to create even more change on our campus. I love to listen to students and work collaboratively with them to make their visions something tangible. I know SGA can be a pillar of our community and give students a voice, and I want to make sure students feel that their voices are being heard.
Administrative Assistant – Libby Nyquist
Hometown: Barre, Vermont
Major: History and Social Work
Fun Fact: My pre-game pump up song for soccer is “I’ll make a man out of you” from Mulan
What do you hope to accomplish during your time in office? I hope to be able to spread awareness of different clubs and ministries around campus, as well as work together with the council to grow and foster a further sense of community
What made you want to run for SGA? I wanted to get more involved on campus and someone suggested that I run, so I thought about it, and I did
Director of Student Events – Aaron Hebert
Hometown: Gardner, Massachusetts
Major: Business Management
Fun Fact: I am awesome with directions, once I travel somewhere I can get back there years later without a map.
What do you hope to accomplish during your time in office? While in office, I hope to bring a more efficient way of organizing events, allowing students to understand better the activities provided on campus. I would also like to bring a social aspect to the position, creating a time to hang out with friends providing snacks and activities to those who come.
What made you want to run for SGA? Coming to ENC, I always knew that I wanted to get involved with student leadership. After holding Student Events for the Freshman and Sophomore class council, I knew I was ready to run for the Executive position.
Director of Recreational Life – Danny Blue
Hometown: Lansdale, PA
Fun Fact: I play the cello
What do you hope to accomplish during your time in office? I hope to have more consistent rec events besides intramural sports such as tournaments and other events as well as continue and improve upon the successful traditions Rec life has had the past years
What made you want to run for SGA? One thing that made me want to run for SGA is that I care deeply for ENC and I have a lot of pride in our school. I think rec life director will give me an opportunity to help generate more pride in ENC which is something I would like to see.
Director of Spiritual Life – McKenna Kern
Hometown: Hebron, Maryland
Major: Liberal Arts with a minor in Religion
Fun Fact: I like to rap
What do you hope to accomplish during your time in office? I hope to encourage the campus to have a passion for serving others and taking care of the people around us to do God’s Kingdom work here and now.
What made you want to run for SGA? I ran for SGA because I have a heart for Jesus, ENC, and people. Spiritual Life perfectly entangles those three passions into a difference-making job.
Director of Publicity – Niki Ghosh
Hometown: Weymouth, MA
Fun Fact: I am a fast speed walker, possibly the fastest in existence
What do you hope to accomplish during your time in office? I hope to create new avenues to for outside the box thinking in this job. My goal is to unify the campus and bring life to the community through promoting events and student life as best as possible.
What made you want to run for SGA? I decided to run because it seems like something I might be good at (hopefully) and a great way to serve my ENC community.
